Nigel (age 3), refuses to be left behind and has started insisting on doing math and reading worksheets along with his older brother Shane. He is so proud of himself and eagerly does his worksheets every morning. Normally, we work together on his worksheets, I read a question, he gives me the answer and then I write down the answer he provided me with rather right or wrong and then we go over the worksheet to see if any corrections are needed. Today, Nigel did everything all by himself. I just gave him a pencil and paper and told him to do the best he could. So today, without any qualms, Nigel completed his first math worksheet all by himself. Oh, how I wish I was recording him…He just kept saying “I am smart in math” with a big cheesy smile.
